LOTN

Hello everyone,

Hope everyone week is going great so far, so far for me its ok, just another week but hey gotta be thankful... So I did this look for the night (LOTN).

Was going for simple and there you have it a 'simple look', nothing dramatic. Now for my foundation, I had did my face makeup in the day and I have tried a new method in using my Everyday Minerals foundation. I did the process of applying it wet, I sprayed my kabuki brush with some *homemade mixing medium/fix + (3 parts water and 1 parts glycerin) and then swirled in my foundation and applied it over the liquid foundation I applied first which is Revlon Colorstay (oily/combination):Mahogany.
Also today was my first time using a stippling brush to stipple my liquid foundation and I absolutely love the results, I will definitely be doing this method again. Sometimes we need to try new methods in makeup application to see what works well for us and what gives us the best results than before. I for one am still learning and trying new things everyday.

Here goes some pictures:

FACE:
Monistat Chafing Gel (primer)
Revlon Colorstay f/d (oily/combination): Mahogany

LOTD & Random

Hello lovelies,

So I my day started out by getting out of bed earlier than usual as compared to any other day, my daughter had her 15mth doctor's appointment at 11am and knowing myself I take almost 3 hours to get me, myself and her ready. So I hurried a look for the day because unfortunately I was running out of time and was gonna get to the Pediatrician office late.

So here is a look that I wanted to name 'Cotton Candy', but its a no no for that name, didn't come out how I wanted (still in learning process):

still having bad hair day

(without flash)

I know my eyebrows look jacked up, still working on them...lol!

So what I used:

FACE:
MAC Studio Fix Powder-NW45
MAC Studio Fix Concealer -NW45

EYES:
UDPP
MAC Fuschia Pigment Sample (lid)
MAC Violet Pigment Sample (Crease)

Rimmel eyeliner duo pencil: Funky chic : blue color (bottom lid)
MAC Aquadisiac e/s (bottome lid)
Rimmel black eyeliner (waterline)
Starry liquid eyeliner
Rimmel Glam mascara

So I got home and took a ling nap with my daughter, she was totally tired from the shots she got and the hot weather (today was hella hot)...We were out when we fell asleep, phone was ringing off the hook and I didn't even hear it...lol (blame it on the weather).

~~~~~~~~~~~~
Got up and decided to do something fresh with my Milani Runway eyes single eyeshadows that I hardly used because they are super glittery.
EYES:
LD
Revlon Illuminance: Moonlight Jewels (beige color base)
Milani Runway eyes: Lilly white (1/2 lid)
Milani Runway eyes: Bronzed Doll (outer 1/2 lid)
Milani Runway eyes: Blue Lagoon (crease)
Jordana e/s : Jack black (outer crease)
Lancome eyeshadow quad: Positive color (highlight)
black eyeliner
Starry liquid eyeliner
Have a terrific week!
************************************************************************************
P.S. Picture of my daughter after she got home and got 2 shots...lol...she is seriously my idol, she is so strong and a little brave heart, all smiley face even after her visit. I would be in pain still after any injection.
(mini me, think she was happy to be home, who likes a doctor's office)
Be fabulous!!
Hello lovelies,
Hope yall are having a fun weekend, well I just finish having my dinner...yum yum...love me some fried chicken with rice & peas and spaghetti salad.
So before eating I attempted another green look. Even though I had nowhere going, but stayed home I felt I should utilize my makeup [as some do expire], so why have them take up dust :))
I also did a little makeup organization where I bought the triple storage organizers from Walgreens and organized my HIP duo eyeshadows and new haul of NYX round lipsticks.
Now here is the LOTD:
(without flash)
I'VE BEEN TAGGED :)
Hello
I have been tagged by the pretty Makeup Mama, how cool. Thanks for the tag mama (lol)
I have been MIA from my blog for a while and didn't realize that I was tagged (silly me)... So here goes lovely peeps ===>
Okay, here's the rules:
1. Respond and rework: answer the questions on your blog, replace one question that you dislike with a question of your own invention, add one more question of your own.
2. Tag eight other people.
What is your current obsession? makeup, Twilight, more makeup, shoes (esp. Christian Louboutins-- **wanting them) & wigs!
What is your weirdest obsession? makeup, its funny because I have really recently been obsessed and the people closest to me can't really understand why!
What were you wearing yesterday? black spandex leggings, green off the shoulder top & green peep toe flats
What’s for dinner today? dunno yet but had lunch late and I had: fried plantains, fried breadfruit (Jamaican dish), Jamaica hot sausages with Pepsi
What would make today special? My daughter's father came to visit her today in a long time & if I had the money to go makeup shopping at MAC for some dazzleglass
• What would you like to learn to do? To do my makeup better, to ride a bike, to fix a pc/computer, to cook much better, to draw, to sing, to design, to film & edit!
• What’s the last thing you bought? Prestige eyeshadows & Jane blush (Walgreens)... Its a girl Mylar balloon & a bunny teddy bear (CVS)
What are you listening to right now? the Tv (Torque movie playing)
What is your favorite weather? warm and windy
What is your most challenging goal right now? to reach the ultimate in my career due to the current economic crisis now and being that I live in a city where 'special effects' career choice is limited to job employment, paying off student loans [unemployed mom] :((.
What do you think about the person who tagged you? Very pretty, terrific blogger & she can do some fierce makeup looks ... Would love to have some of your makeup skills :))
Which current artist/actor do you think is looking "hot" right now? Drake (Young Money baby)
So who do I tag
LOTD
Hey Lovely Peeps,
So I have been away, I have been procrastinating on doing makeup this week, I was more likely trying different lips colors. Obviously its spring and soon to be summer (yay!!), so the lips need to be poppin and on. The trends for the season is bright pinks, deep purple and light pinks. So this is a LOTD. I wasn't too liking the outcome but I'll definitely have another look up soon. Btw please neglect my bad hair day, yup I have been lazy with my hair, I feel like just cutting it in a bob cut to rock this summer, its so hard to style and I just hate how dull it is nowadays, its like everyday its in ponytail :(
So check out this Gold, Purple and Blue look===>
[[Disclaimer: BAD HAIR DAY :((]]
Carmen Wig By Model Model Glance with some riddim of H.I.P.
Hello Lovelies,
So I had purchase this wig from www.hairsisters.com recently and it finally came, Wooohooo!!
I love mail and newbies...lol...I have been waiting for a week and few days now for it. All I can say is I love it (x3). I love the texture, the look, the feel and just love my color choice. I hate grooming my hair or even styling it for that matter, my hair texture is thin and my hair is in a world by itself and not cooperating with me. I recently cut the front by myself to create bangs and I got use to it for the time being but I hate sometimes having to putting it in a ponytail, I needed a change.
I've known myself since my hair has somewhat of lengths to be putting it in a ponytail, that's why I always cut in a shoulder length bob and rock it, but the verdict in cutting my hair is not approved (well solely not by me).
So here is how Glance Model Model - Carmen wig looks
The model rocks it well but I'm gonna rock it better (being conceited).
Here is a video with pictures of me rocking the wig.
Here is a list of what I used for my makeup look:
FACE:
Revlon Colorstay F/d: Mahogany
MAC concealer: NW45
MAC MSF Natural : Deep dark
Maybelline blush: Fresh Plum
MAC MSF Gold Deposit (highlight)
EYES:
UDPP
Loreal H.I.P. e/s: Gunmetal (lighter color:inner 1/3 of the lid, bottom lid; darker color: & outer crease & crease, bottom lid)
Loreal H.I.P. e/s: Riotous (lighter color:middle of the lid)
Sally's girl : Expresso (highlight)
Rimmel black eyeliner(waterline)
H.I.P. cream eyeliner: Teal (line the lid)
Rimmel Glam eyes mascara
LIPS:
Victoria Secret lipgloss: Sublime
Well lovely people if you wanna try this wig, check out www.hairsisters.com
They always have sale on their wigs and Carmen is definitely a buy.
LOTD
Hello lovelies,
I have decided to do a neutral look with a hint of color for the day, I don't like neutral looks, but I most definitely do now after trying this look. I mostly wear colored eye makeup and it was my first neutral look. So here goes some pictures and a list of the items used. Hope you likey!! yea likey!!!...lol
Guess what I used too...can you believe my makeup is not even high end products or even drugstore, it's Dollar store makeup... yep the infamous LA colors!
ITEMS USED:
FACE:
Loreal True Match F/d: C7 Nut brown {definitely not liking this f/d & it doesn't match :( }
Loreal True Match concealer: c6-7-8
Color workshop blush: deep russet color
Wet N wild bronzer (highlight): Bali
EYES:
UDPP/Loreal Decrease (I was testing the duration of this makeup line with two different base on each eye: R eye= Loreal Decrease; L eye=UDPP)
NYX Jumbo pencil MILK (on the lid)
LA Colors 12 e/s palette :Supernatural: 1st color:white (lid)
LA Colors 12 e/s palette: Traditional: 8th color: shimmer brown (outer crease & crease)
LA Colors 12 e/s palette: Traditional: 4th color: shimmer bronze (highlight)
Jordana Blackjack e/s (outer crease)
120 Palette matte lime green color (inner tear duct)
Rimmel eyeliner(waterline)
Starry liquid liner(line lid)
Maybelline XXL mascara: Black
LIPS:
HIP Lipstruck color: Harmless
Now here is the verdict of which base works best with these eyshadows by far, its UDPP (urban decay primer potion). The Loreal decrease primer tends to crease on me when I apply NYX milk jumbo pencil on top. UDPP doesn't do that that effect when I apply NYX jumbo pencil Milk. Nonetheless, the UDPP didn't crease and I wore the makeup for a long 7 hrs.
If you just starting into makeup check out the LA Colors brandm you will be amazed at the quality you get for a buck. There are great bargain makeup lines out there you just have to research and find them, I am about saving and bargain especially in this economic time & me being unemployed....so every dollar I can save counts. Being that I love makeup, well $1 eyeshadow with 12 colors works for me... (smiles***).
Go check out your local Dollar General or Dollar Tree or Family Dollar for some LA Colors eyeshadow.
